Recorded in Annedalskyrkan in Gothenburg, with organ instead of piano, reinforcing the “Ceremony” Anna von Hausswolff as one of the currently most interesting (and talented) Swedish artists.
The sound is different from the debut, as well as tilted to the larger sound pictures, but the metal-like solid whole is at least as profound as ever. At best it will be when the album is near the bottom lands of the great “Funeral for my future children”, but “Sova” painting a clearer picture of Anna von Hausswolff advertiser 2012th At first the song seems a bit playful and almost naive defiant, before noticing that the repeated line of “I do not sleep” is followed by the word “more” and the sentence “will never wake up again.”
Anna von Hausswolff has the property: the simple and surprising able to move from a safe place right down into a deep, damp grave. And she still sing in a way that few other Swedes can.
