POP. One of the best voices sounded again. Though it will take well into the second song before we get to hear it. The dystopian and sacred instrumental track “Epitaph Of Theodor” shows at the outset that this is a darker Anna von Hausswolff. The church organ’s muffled tones dominate Ceremony and it is not until the brilliant and hand clapping “Mountains crave” the album opens up. With limited resources, every track a feat in itself, independent of each other. It does not matter that the production is stripped down to the marrow. The subtle rhythms and stick together with your voice (!) Make up one of the most magnificent created in many years. Accomplished!
